Sabrina Carpenter has promised fans her upcoming Coachella show is the "most ambitious" she's ever done.
The Espresso hitmaker, alongside Justin Bieber and Karol G, has been tapped to headline the California music and arts festival.
Speaking to designer Marc Jacobs for an interview for Perfect magazine published on Tuesday, Sabrina insisted she will pull out all the stops for the gig.
"It's the most ambitious show I've ever done. It's probably the most time I've ever had to actually just sit down and talk about a show as I'm building it," she smiled. "Most of the time, you're really quickly thrust into physical rehearsals, but this time around we started this process around seven months ago. So it's been a long journey. It will be very special."
And while Sabrina has performed concerts at Coachella before, she feels the pressure to deliver even more as a headliner.
"I was playing sunset, around 5.30 pm on the main stage two years ago. That was a really special day for me, the day my song Espresso came out," the 26-year-old recalled. "I got to play that for the first time at Coachella. And now, two years later, we're back. And I think that's what makes this show feel really, really surreal: getting to celebrate all the songs that have come after it, and just how many lives they've lived since they've come out."
Elsewhere in the conversation, Sabrina listed Madonna, Stevie Nicks, Dolly Parton, Stevie Wonder, and ABBA as her biggest music inspirations.
The Manchild star also noted that she recently went to see the ABBA Voyage concert in London, which features avatars of the Swedish pop icons.
"I was sceptical until I went, and then I actually could not believe that I was watching a hologram show. I felt so electrified by this performance. If you ever get the chance to go, you should," she praised.
The first weekend of Coachella kicks off on Friday night.
