The mid-week Official Chart: First Look is in, and it appears the "Ghost-with-the-Most" in the music world this week is Australia’s own Kevin Parker. Tame Impala is currently on track to secure a first-ever Top 10 hit with the atmospheric single "Dracula," which is presently soaring toward a number 9 peak.
The JENNIE Effect
While "Dracula" was originally released back in September, its sudden ascent up the standings is no mystery. The track has experienced a massive global surge in popularity following a high-profile remix featuring BLACKPINK’s JENNIE. If the momentum holds through Friday’s final tally, it will mark a monumental milestone for Parker, bagging him his first-ever UK Top 10 single accolade.
Battle for the Top Spot
However, the road to the summit remains blocked by the formidable duo of Sam Fender and Olivia Dean. Their collaborative hit "Rein Me In" continues to be a dominant favorite, currently eyeing a staggering sixth week at Number 1.
Rising Stars and Chart Veterans
Elsewhere in the Top 20, Zara Larsson is enjoying a week to remember. Her classic "Lush Life" is making a surprising and significant climb back up to number 4, while her newer effort "Midnight Sun" looks set to reach a new peak at number 18.
The classical-pop fusion of RAYE and Hans Zimmer is also gaining ground. Their track "Click Clack Symphony" has jumped seven places to number 11. RAYE’s influence doesn't stop there; her latest cut from the album THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE, titled "I Know You’re Hurting," is currently embarking on a Top 20 debut at number 19.
Other Notable Movements
Dominic Fike: Looking to clinch his second Top 10 with "Babydoll" (10).
Central Cee: The British rapper eyes his 35th Top 40 entry with "Wagwan" (25).
Miley Cyrus: Following her Disney+ Hannah Montana anniversary special, "Younger You" is aiming for a main chart debut at 32.
