Bruno Mars has denied liking an Instagram post that branded Taylor Swift "talentless".

On Sunday, it was reported on social media that the Just the Way You Are hitmaker had liked a post criticising the Lavender Haze singer and questioning her success.

The post featured Swift performing with the caption, "Genuinely how did she get famous? White privilege is crazy because imagine if an Asian was as talentless as her."

The controversial post appeared to have originated from social media news outlet Pop Base but was falsely attributed to the official X account of K-pop boy band BTS.

Fans later alleged that Mars had liked the post, with the claim also shared by pop culture social media account Pop Faction.

Responding to the speculation, Mars took to X on Sunday to insist that there is no bad blood between him and Swift.

"Taylor has always been supportive and kind to me. Only love over here," the singer wrote, before adding in a separate post, "Spread Love on these apps!"

Pop Faction also reported that Mars has "since unliked the post".

Swift and Mars have often gone head-to-head on the charts during their careers. Earlier this year, Mars' comeback single I Just Might overtook Swift on America's Billboard Hot 100 chart, ending a 15-week reign by her song The Fate of Ophelia.
