Jennifer Lopez has revealed the advice that helped her through her "really tough" divorce from Marc Anthony.
During a recent performance for her Up All Night residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the 56-year-old star opened up about her past heartbreak.
Speaking to fans in between songs, Lopez reflected on the end of her 10-year marriage to her third husband Marc Anthony in 2014.
As the singer-actress joked that by her third divorce she was "getting really good at it", she shared the invaluable guidance offered by late motivational speaker Louise Hay to lift her spirits.
Lopez, who shares 18-year-old twins Max and Emme with Anthony, was captured on camera by a fan in the crowd as she recalled, "It was actually a really tough time. I was really about to give up on it all. I was a single mom with two three-year-old twins. I called up one of my mentors. Her name was Louise Hay. She said to me, 'Jennifer, you're a dancer, right?' I said, 'Yes, I am.'"
Lopez continued, "She said, 'When you're learning a dance and you get the steps wrong, what do you do?' I said, 'I just keep going till I get the steps right.' She said, 'That's right, Jennifer. Always keep dancing.'"
After the divorce, Lopez went on to rekindle her relationship with actor Ben Affleck. The pair tied the knot in 2022, before Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024.
During the Up All Night show on 6 March, Lopez, who was also previously married to waiter Ojani Noa and choreographer Cris Judd, then offered the same sage advice to her fans before she launched into a rendition of her hit Dance Again.
She told the crowd, "I wish the same for each and every one of you, that no matter what life throws at you, you dance and you dance and you dance, again and again and again."
