Cardi B's ex Stefon Diggs is temporarily unemployed after being released by his American football team, the New England Patriots.
The team informed Stefon Diggs that they will release him when new league year begins on 11 March, according to a report by CBS and other US outlets.
Diggs was just one year into a three-year, $63.5 million (£47.5 million) contract that he signed during the last off-season.
Cardi and Diggs, who welcomed a son together in November, first sparked split rumours shortly before the NFL star played and lost at Super Bowl 2026.
When an ESPN reporter asked her if she had any inspiring words for Diggs ahead of the Super Bowl, Cardi gave a terse "Good luck" before walking away.
The pair unfollowed each other on social media after the game, and she later confirmed during a concert stop in Los Angeles that they had split.
Cardi and Diggs went public with their romance last May. By September, she had confirmed she was pregnant with her fourth baby, her first with Diggs.
Diggs has fathered five more children with five different women.
In February, he pleaded not guilty to assaulting and strangling his personal chef in late 2025.
Speculation is rife as to where the sports star will end up next.
