Jelly Roll has revealed that he broke his collarbone in a recent quad bike accident.

The 41-year-old rapper and singer shared that the incident happened shortly before the 2026 Grammy Awards in February, meaning he attended the biggest night in music with the painful injury.

In a video posted on Instagram on Sunday, Jelly Roll, real name Jason Bradley DeFord, explained that he recently got back on the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) weeks after the accident.

"Y'all just took this thing out for the first time since I flipped it," he told the camera. "I broke my collarbone. I was so scared to get back on this thing. I just knew if I didn't get back on it sooner than later, I was just going to be more and more afraid of it."

The country star went on to note that he was surprised the quad bike was still rideable, adding, "I figured I had totalled it."

Jelly Roll then told fans the incident happened just days before the Grammys, which saw him win three awards including Best Contemporary Country Album and Best Country Duo/Group Performance with fellow artist Shaboozey.

"I was just thinking, I was out there running all over the Grammys with a broken collarbone," he recalled. "Every time I hugged somebody that week, I wanted to scream."

"I just didn't say it, but every time somebody squeezed me, dude, I thought I was gonna cry," he added.

The Wild Ones hitmaker concluded the video by sharing that he did not want the accident to leave him feeling afraid.

"Sometimes, the machine does more than the user thinks it can and this was all user error," he told his followers. "Anyways, moral of the story: get back on that pony, baby."
