Charli xcx has officially cemented her status as the defining artist of the era, securing a spectacular hat-trick of Number 1 albums. Her latest triumph comes via Wuthering Heights, the soundtrack to Emerald Fennell’s highly anticipated cinematic adaptation of Emily Brontë’s gothic tragedy. This new chart-topper follows in the footsteps of 2022’s CRASH and 2024’s culture-shifting BRAT.

The success of Wuthering Heights marks Charli’s eighth UK Top 40 album overall. Her impressive chart history includes high-ranking entries such as 2015’s SUCKER and 2019’s self-titled Charli. Proving the enduring power of her brand, her previous studio album BRAT also enjoyed a significant boost this week, climbing seven places to sit at Number 38.

Beyond the main chart, Wuthering Heights has also claimed the top spot on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart, proving to be the most popular choice for collectors over the last seven days. The chart victory coincides with a major multi-media push from the artist, as her Aidan Zamiri-directed mockumentary, The Moment, opens in UK cinemas today.

In the second spot, Olivia Dean continues her remarkable run of success. Her album The Art Of Loving has now spent its 21st consecutive week inside the Top 5. As the industry looks toward next weekend’s BRIT Awards, many are wondering if this chart consistency will translate into a win for the coveted Album of the Year prize.

Elsewhere in the Top 40, nostalgia and live performances are driving the numbers. Fleetwood Mac’s hits compilation 50 Years – Don't Stop has rebounded to its Number 3 peak. Meanwhile, Kylie Minogue makes a strong debut at Number 19 with her Tension Tour // Live 2025 recording, which also leads the Official Record Store Chart as the week's biggest seller in independent shops.

The week is rounded out by strong showings from Maryland artist Brent Faiyaz, who banked his fourth entry with Icon, and Fred again.., whose residency at Alexandra Palace propelled his USB project back into the Top 40. With Bruno Mars also climbing ahead of his new release, the UK charts remain a dynamic mix of modern pop dominance and enduring classics.
