Fresh off a monumental victory at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, Britain’s premier rock icon, YUNGBLUD, has announced the next chapter of his acclaimed conceptual journey. Idols II is set for digital release on February 20th, 2026, via Island Records/Locomotion, expanding the world of his 2025 chart-topping predecessor.
The second installment features six brand-new tracks, including the newly revealed lead single, "Suburban Requiem." The digital release also boasts the Grammy-nominated version of "Zombie," featuring The Smashing Pumpkins. For the artist, this release marks a profound emotional shift.
“Part 1 was a journey that helped me reclaim my identity from the darkest position I’ve ever been in my life,” YUNGBLUD shared. “Part 2 is about realizing that I am alive, that I am real, that this journey that I’ve been on didn’t kill me. It’s about comprehending that my heart is beating and that my lungs are filling up with air.”
The era has already cemented itself as a landmark in British rock history. The original Idols secured YUNGBLUD’s third consecutive UK Number One album in June 2025, followed closely by his Aerosmith collaboration, One More Time, which gave the legendary US band their first-ever UK Number One in November.
Earlier this month in Los Angeles, YUNGBLUD’s global dominance was codified when he won "Best Rock Performance" for his raw rendition of "Changes." In a historic feat, he became the first British artist to earn three nominations in the rock categories within a single year.
Fans can celebrate the complete saga with physical collections releasing later this year, including a store-exclusive 180g 2LP "audiophile" vinyl featuring all 19 tracks from both volumes.
The new material arrives just in time for YUNGBLUD’s upcoming sold-out UK arena tour, last tickets available below. The run will culminate in a massive headline performance at The O2 Arena, London, on April 24, 2026, serving as the ultimate live celebration of the Idols era.
