Thomas Rhett has revealed he is "kind of going deaf" in his left ear.

During a joint interview alongside his wife Lauren Akins for the That Sounds Fun podcast, the country singer-songwriter shared that he has been experiencing some hearing loss.

"I'm kind of going deaf in this ear a little bit," he told host Annie F. Downs. "And so, I had to go get hearing aids as a 35-year-old man."

Thomas went on to note that he didn't realise his household was quite so noisy.

The couple shares four daughters, with Lauren set to give birth to their fifth child in early March.

"I wore them for like a week and I looked at her. I was like, 'Is this legit what you hear all day long?'" the It Goes Like This hitmaker continued, while Lauren replied, "I was like, 'Babe, welcome to our life!'"

Elsewhere in the conversation, Thomas joked that he sometimes dreams of going on tour again so he can get a break from the chaos at home.

"And we do not have a nanny, we do not have an assist, we have nothing... we don't have a consistent babysitter," he smiled. "Since I've been off the road, there's part of me that is like, 'When are we going back? Can we just book some dates in March? I don't care where they are!' I have never been home this consistent in my entire career."

Thomas released his seventh studio album, About a Woman, in 2024.

The Country Again artist is set to serve as an opening act for Luke Combs on his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour later in the year.

Thomas and Lauren married in 2012.
