Marc Anthony has described the Beckham family feud as "extremely unfortunate".

Last month, Brooklyn Beckham confirmed he was estranged from his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, in an explosive Instagram post.

In one part of the message, the entrepreneur alleged his mother danced "very inappropriately" and interrupted the first dance with his new wife, Nicola Peltz, when they were meant to be serenaded by Marc at their wedding in 2022.

Asked about the tension in an interview for The Hollywood Reporter published on Monday, the singer-actor declined to comment on the first dance drama.

"I'm really close to the family. But I have nothing to say about what happened there," he declared. "It's extremely unfortunate how it's playing out - but (how it's playing out) is hardly the truth."

Marc went on to emphasise that he wouldn't delve into the feud but insisted the Beckhams were a "wonderful" family.

"I have nothing to say about what's happening with the family. They're a wonderful, wonderful family. I've known them since before the kids were born. I'm godfather to Cruz," the 57-year-old continued, referring to David and Victoria's 20-year-old son.

Representatives for the Beckhams have not yet responded to Brooklyn's comments.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Marc promoted his upcoming Las Vegas residency.

Vegas... My Way! is set to kick off at the Fontainebleau on 13 February.

"I have my stadium show and my arena show that I've been doing for years, but this Vegas residency affords itself for me to do things I've never done before. I'm designing a show for this intimate room. I'm going to sing songs I've never been able to perform live in my life, for various reasons," he added.
