Bad Bunny's representatives have confirmed that the wedding staged during his Super Bowl Halftime Show was legally binding.

During the Puerto Rican hitmaker's set, he held out a ring box and passed it to a dancer, who got down on one knee before the cameras cut to a couple dressed in wedding attire standing in front of an officiant.

After they kissed and the wedding guests applauded, the crowd parted to reveal special guest Lady Gaga, who sang a Latin version of Die with a Smile during a wedding party scene.

While many viewers thought the couple were simply actors performing a wedding scene, it has now been revealed that they were a real couple who had a legitimate ceremony at Levi's Stadium in California on Sunday night.

Representatives for the singer, real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, have confirmed that the couple got married live on stage.

They explained to The Hollywood Reporter that the couple, who have not been named publicly, invited Bad Bunny to their wedding. However, instead of going to their big day, he invited them be involved in his Halftime Show.

According to the reps, the DtMF hitmaker served as the couple's witness and signed their marriage certificate.

In addition to the party onstage, the couple also celebrated their nuptials by cutting their wedding cake during the set.

Other special guests included Ricky Martin, who performed a version of Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii, while Cardi B, Karol G, Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal, Alix Earle and Young Miko were spotted dancing during the section of the show set in a casita.

Bad Bunny made history as the first Halftime Show act to perform almost entirely in Spanish.

The Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots by 29 - 13 during the match.
