In the wake of announcing his upcoming fifth solo album, Zayn Malik has revealed the dates for his biggest tour yet.
The former One Direction member will kick off the 31-date Konnakol tour on 12 May in Manchester, England, on a trek that will see him headlining arenas and stadiums across North America, South America, Mexico and the UK, where he will also play gigs in Glasgow, Birmingham and London.
Malik, who debuted some of the songs from Konnakol during his recent Las Vegas residency, will drop the album on 17 April, with the lead single, Die for Me, due out today. Tickets for the tour will go on sale on 10 February.
Konnakol is Malik's follow-up to 2024's Room Under the Stairs, which hit No 15 on the Billboard 200.
"It's that time again, I have been lucky enough to make a fifth studio album," the singer said in a press statement about the LP.
"Konnakol, in its definition, is the act of creating percussive sounds with one's voice, but what it means to me lies somewhere much deeper. It is a sound that holds the reverberation of a time before words existed."
Malik left One Direction on 25 March 2015, and denied rumours of any rift at the time.
However, in a December 2015 interview with The Fader, he expressed unhappiness with the group's musical direction, noting that "there was never any room for me to experiment creatively in the band".
In an interview given to Apple Music the following month, Malik shared, "I never really wanted to be there, like in the band. I just gave it a go because it was there at the time. I instantly realised it wasn't for me."
