Mario has welcomed his first child with his girlfriend Esmeralda Rios.
The U.S. singer, best known for his 2004 hit Let Me Love You, has confirmed that he and Esmeralda have welcomed a baby boy.
Mario, whose full name is Mario Dewar Barrett, announced the happy news on Monday night via his Instagram Stories, sharing a photo of himself wearing scrubs in what appeared to be a hospital room.
He wrote over the image, "Women are God's greatest creation cuz what I witness today was ONLY GODS work! Healthy baby boy!"
The singer first revealed that he and Esmeralda were expecting a baby in late August.
In an Instagram Stories post at the time, the 39-year-old shared a photo of himself placing his hand over his girlfriend's bare baby bump.
"It's a whole universe in there! I can't wait," he penned at the bottom of the snap.
Mario has previously spoken about parenthood, opening up in an interview with V-103 Atlanta about the responsibility that comes with having children.
"I don't take having kids lightly," he shared. "Everybody I know (has) kids. Some of my friends (that are) younger have kids, some of my friends (that are) older have kids, and it comes with a lot of pros and cons."
"And I also grew up without a father," the hitmaker continued. "So, I want to do it right when I do do it. You know, I got time. So, I'm not rushing into that."
Mario and Esmeralda first began appearing together on social media in May 2025 and have kept the details of their relationship private.
