Harry Styles is officially on course to secure his third UK Number 1 single this week with his latest release, “Aperture.” According to the Official Chart: First Look, the track has taken a commanding lead based on preliminary sales and early streaming reports, following its global debut just days ago.

If “Aperture” maintains its momentum through to Friday’s final tally, it will join Styles' previous chart-toppers, 2017’s “Sign of the Times” and the record-breaking 2022 smash “As It Was.” The single serves as the opening statement for his highly anticipated fourth studio album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally, which has already sparked a massive surge in pre-orders and social media buzz.

The Midweek Top 5

Styles' ascent has pushed last week’s leaders, Dave and Tems, down to the Number 2 spot with their hit “Raindance.” Meanwhile, the viral resurgence of Djo’s “End of Beginning” remains a powerhouse, rounding out the top three.

Beyond the battle for the top spot, Arctic Monkeys are poised for a historic return to the Top 10. Their new track “Opening Night”—contributed to War Child’s upcoming charity record, HELP(2)—is currently sitting at Number 9. This would mark the Sheffield band’s first Top 10 hit in over a decade, since "Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High" peaked at Number 8 in 2013.

Further down the Top 40, dance music continues to thrive. Sonny Fodera, D.O.D., and Poppy Baskcomb are eyeing a new peak of Number 17 with "Think About Us," while Fred again.. & Young Thug are set for a strong debut at Number 26 with "Scared."
