Emeli Sandé and her partner, Yoana Karemova, have ended their engagement.
In a statement issued to The Sun on Monday, the Read All About It star confirmed that she and the classical pianist had broken up after around four years together.
"Sadly, we decided to separate in the summer," she told the outlet. "We both care very much for each other but needed to focus our time and energy on our music careers."
Emeli revealed she was dating Yoana in March 2022, with the pair announcing their engagement six months later.
Reflecting on her romance in an interview for Metro at the time, the artist called her partner "the one for life".
"We met through music," she shared. "And I definitely feel happier than ever. It feels great... For me, true love and having love in your life makes everything fit into place."
However, Emeli and Yoana postponed wedding plans in November 2023 due to the Scottish singer focusing on promoting her fifth studio album, How Were We to Know, and the accompanying tour.
Previously, Emeli was in a longtime relationship with scientist Adam Gouraguine.
The couple was married from 2012 until their divorce was finalised two years later.
At present, Emeli is working on her sixth studio album.
Taking to Instagram over the weekend, the 38-year-old posted a photo of herself in the recording studio.
"Studio going great, definitely feeling focused, grateful and inspired! Can't wait for shows for new music releases and to reconnect for real, miss you guys!!!!" she wrote in the caption.
