Olivia Dean takes home the first Official Number 1 album of 2026 with The Art of Loving.
This is the third time the project has topped the Official Albums Chart and, with 2025 being the year in which Olvia’s career really skyrocketed, this is the perfect lens into what 2026 can bring for the Brit.
The Art of Loving also tops the Official Vinyl Albums Chart, shifting the most copies on wax over the past seven days.
Sabrina Carpenter takes the Number 2 spot with Man’s Best Friend as she releases its Bonus Track Version. The star also sees Short n’ Sweet re-enter the Top 10, moving up five (6).
Record-breaking and Official biggest album of 2025 The Life of a Showgirl remains at Number 3, however Taylor Swift finds three of her former releases - THE TORTURED POET’S DEPARTMENT (28), Midnights (34) and Lover (36) - all make the Top 40.
Fleetwood Mac’s timeless 50 Years - Don’t Stop equals its highest charting position yet, rising two (4).
Billie Eilish’s former Number 1 HIT ME HARD AND SOFT rebounds into the Top 20 for the first time since August 2025 (20).
Olivia Rodrigo enjoys significant movement for both GUTS (22) and SOUR (25), with the former up 12 and the latter moving eight places. Meanwhile, George Michael’s Twenty Five is on the up, ascending nine (27).
Substantial progress up the standings is also seen for Queen, as Greatest Hits climbs 10 (30) while Charli xcx’s BRAT elevates eight (31).
Other classic releases that make this week’s Top 40 include Drake’s 2011 project Take Care (35), eternal sunshine from Ariana Grande (38), Maroon 5’s Singles compilation (39) and, finally, Billy Joel’s renowned Piano Man: The Very Best of Billy Joel (40).
