Snoop Dogg is set to headline the Netflix Christmas Day NFL game.
The 54-year-old rapper will be joined by special guests when he performs his hits halfway through the festive showdown between the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings at Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on December 25.
The Drop It Like It's Hot hitmaker said of Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party: “NFL, Netflix and your uncle Snoop on Christmas Day? We’re servin’ up music, love and good vibes for the whole world to enjoy.
“That’s the kind of holiday magic Santa can’t fit in a bag.”
Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, commented: “Christmas Gameday just got a whole lot cooler. We’re uniting two global cultural juggernauts, the NFL and the one and only Snoop Dogg, who will drop the hottest halftime show.
“As a West Coast girl and huge fan myself, I can confidently say this is the ultimate gift we could give our members. We’re ready to drop it like it’s hot this holiday celebration!”
The game begins at 4.30pm ET (9.30pm GMT) and will be live-streamed on Netflix.
Beyoncé headlined the inaugural Netflix Christmas Day NFL game.
She performed for 13 minutes on the field at NRG Stadium in her hometown of Houston last Christmas at the halfway point of the Ravens clash against the Texans, alongside guests Shaboozey, Post Malone and her daughter Blue Ivy.
Beyoncé reportedly paid her dancers a huge bonus for working Christmas Day on her NFL show.
The Sun said the performer forked out “double” rates on her support group as a thank you to them, with an insider saying: “Beyoncé paid her staff bonuses for working on Christmas Day.
“The show was a big business deal and had to happen on Christmas Day so she paid her staff and dancers double pay to make it happen.
“She is also planning to bring some of her old dancers back into the mix for her next tour.”
Beyoncé – who has an estimated net worth of $600 million – was reportedly paid $20 million for her halftime performance.
