RB: “Well, you've got London on smash and you are really a woman of the world, because for this new single that you’ve got out right now, you've linked up with Moliy from Ghana and Oxlade from Nigeria. ‘Nice n Sweet’ it's called. How did this song come about and what made you want to dive into that Afrobeats world for this one?”

C: “I've honestly been in my Afrobeats bag for some time now, and especially as of late. You know, even my song with Diamond Platnumxz, my song called ‘Low,’ which is now top 20 in urban radio in America, which I'm so proud of… But with Moliy and Oxlade, it was a really organic collaboration. You know, Moliy and I met at the Barclays Centre. The Liberty Women's basketball team was playing, and she and I linked up. And then Russ [Russell Wilson] was actually there. He was like, ‘Y'all should do a song together.’

And then she and I are like, ‘That sounds good, right?’ So, then we ended up just chatting more. We were trying to find the right song for us to do. And I said, ‘Send me over some tracks. Like, send what you got.’ She sent me this song. I'm like, ‘That's it!’ And Oxlade’s vocals were already on the track as well, and literally, I hop in the booth just a few days after I heard it, and now we're here, and it's on my CiCi Deluxe album.

And honestly, it is nice n’ sweet! You know, it's pretty awesome. And I love Moliy, she's such a girl's girl. I got to see Oxlade in Lagos just recently, and we did a little cute visualizer. He did this cute dance, like, just naturally. Like, the craziest thing about people, anyone from Africa in general, everyone can dance! Everyone can dance. And he's behind me, he starts doing this thing. And then, just organically, I'm like, ‘What is that? Teach me that.’ So, that was cute. And then Moliy and I actually were in a bodega in New York, and I think we might have gotten kicked out and then they let us back in, because we were trying to get this little cute visual. Like, the bodega was only right for that moment. But, I mean, they're amazing artists, so dope. And I just love how this song feels. It feels like it's a song for all seasons, and it's just feel-good vibes, which was important to me.”
