Christina Aguilera is set to unveil a "very personal" documentary at the same time as new music.
During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Tuesday, host Jennifer asked the Beautiful hitmaker whether she had any unreleased tracks.
In response, Christina admitted that she doesn't have much stored away that fans haven't already heard.
"There are some things along the way, but (they) probably will always remain in a vault. But there is new music that is being made," she replied. "It's been, you know, I do take a minute. But it's to really be thoughtful with what I put out. I'm not someone that's just like, 'Oh, let me just keep pumping it out.' Integrity matters to me. I'm a message girl and I really like to absorb what's happening in the world, things that are really moving me and affecting people, to really put thought into it."
Christina went on to indicate that she will finally release a documentary that's been in the works for several years.
"And it's going to be a really personal project coming up. It'll tie in with a very personal documentary that we've been filming for the last few years," the 44-year-old teased.
In 2022, Time Studios and Roc Nation announced they were producing a documentary about Christina's life and career.
At the time, director Ting Poo noted she was "truly honoured" to tell the story of the person "behind the music because I know it will equally inspire".
A potential release date for the feature has not yet been confirmed.
Christina hasn't released an album for some time. She dropped her eighth studio album, Liberation, in 2018 and followed it with a Spanish-language album, Aguilera, in 2022.
The pop star is currently promoting the festive track, My Favorite Things (Live from the Eiffel Tower), a single from her holiday film Christina Aguilera: Christmas in Paris.
The project will show in select theatres on 14 December and 21 December.
