American Express presents BST Hyde Park has announced a monumental homecoming, welcoming global sensations Mumford & Sons back to the Great Oak Stage on Saturday 4 July 2026. This much-anticipated performance marks a decade since the band’s last legendary appearance at the festival.

For Mumford & Sons, who found their start in West London’s vibrant grassroots music scene, this isn't just another gig—it’s a deep-rooted reunion with their city. They will be joined by acclaimed special guests The War On Drugs, with the full line-up and festival programme yet to be announced.

Since 2008, Mumford & Sons have risen to the apex of global rock, headlining festivals, achieving chart-topping success, and collaborating with icons like Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. However, London has always remained the band’s anchor, and Hyde Park one of their most beloved stages.

The announcement arrives as the band prepares for a prolific period. Their upcoming album, Prizefighter, is set for release on 13 February, following their 2025 UK No. 1 album, RUSHMERE, which powered a sold-out global arena tour. The new album, created with Aaron Dessner, features an impressive list of collaborators, including Hozier and Chris Stapleton.

Speaking about their return, Mumford & Sons stated: “Hyde Park is woven into our story, it’s where so many memories were made. Coming back a decade later, with all this new music, feels incredibly special. London is and always will be the band’s home. We can’t wait.”

The 2026 set is promised to be a comprehensive celebration of their catalogue, spanning early favorites, modern classics, and brand-new tracks. Attendees are guaranteed one of the summer’s biggest sing-alongs.

Joining them are The War On Drugs, lauded by The New Yorker as “the best American ‘rock’ band of this decade.” Led by Adam Granduciel, the GRAMMY-winning band, known for unifying fractured past sounds into an engrossing present, will deliver their anthemic rock synthesis.

AEG Presents CEO Jim King noted that the band’s last Hyde Park show was a "milestone," expressing pride in having them return at this dynamic point in their career.

Tickets for this highly anticipated event go on general sale on Thursday 4 December at 10 am.

Other announced BST Hyde Park 2026 headliners include Garth Brooks, Pitbull, and Lewis Capaldi.
