Last week Kings Of Leon joined The Evening Show with Dan O'Connell on Radio X.

Speaking to Dan O’Connell on Radio X last night, Caleb and Jared Followill hinted that Kings Of Leon have a Christmas song written and ready to go but are hesitant to release it as it is ‘too Christmassy!’

DOC: “We are getting closer to Christmas, and I was going through the back catalogue, and I was really sort of having a discussion with people in the office here – I don't think you guys have ever done a Christmas song have you?”

JF: “Never released one.”

DOC: “No. You never released one. Okay!”

CF: “That might be happening. There's a song that has been written, and it might just be too Christmassy.”

DOC: “You can't be too Christmassy, Caleb. There’s no way!”

CF: “I mean, how many jingle bells can you put on a song?”

DOC: “My most favourite rock and roll Christmas song is Julian Casablancas ‘I Wish It Was Christmas Today.’

CF: “Did you know that's actually a Jimmy Fallon song? They did that on Saturday Night Live.”

DOC: “Is that actually true? I didn’t actually know that.”

CF: “It was a skit, and then he did it. Anytime there’s a great Christmas song and it's someone that you love, it always makes you feel like, ‘Okay, well maybe we could make a Christmas song.’ But, I mean, it's so hard. The great ones are just so great, and the bad ones are so bad!”
