Congratulations go to ROSALÍA, who earns a record-breaking personal best this week with her much-talked-about avant-garde classical pop album LUX.
The fourth studio album from singer-songwriter ROSALIA, who hails from Sant Esteve Sesrovires, Spain, sets a new Official Chart record as the highest-charting album ever by a Spanish female artist on the UK Official Albums Chart (4).
The album’s lead single Berghain featuring Bjork and Yves Tumor also earns ROSALIA the highest-charting UK single of her career as a lead artist, breaking the Official Singles Chart Top 40 at Number 36.
Previously, ROSALÍA enjoyed UK chart success with 2022 album MOTOMAMI (42).
Meanwhile Taylor Swift takes The Life Of A Showgirl to a fourth non-consecutive week at the Official Albums Chart summit today. Upon its release, Taylor’s 14th chart-topper broke records as it secured the biggest opening week of 2025, with no other international artist boasting more UK Number 1 albums, leaving The Beatles and Robbie Williams as the only artists in history with more, having banked 15 apiece.
Following her GRAMMYS 2026 Best New Artist nomination, Olivia Dean’s former chart-topper The Art Of Loving is on the up, lifting two (2), as 2026 Mighty Hoopla headliner Lily Allen’s West End Girl holds strong with a third consecutive week in the Top 5 (3).
It’s a second solo Top 10 album for Hayley Williams, whose third studio project Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party makes its Official Chart debut (10). Hayley previously saw Top 10 success with 2020 release Petals For Armor (4), boasting a further four Top 10 LPs as a member of Paramore.
Available on vinyl for the first time, sombr’s debut I Barely Know Her jumps 18 (11).
Paul McCartney & Wings net a fifth Top 40 album with WINGS, the group’s ultimate self-titled anthology personally overseen by Paul himself (12).
The release of new vinyl variants sees Lady Gaga’s GRAMMY-nominated MAYHEM rocket 51 spots (14). MAYHEM also claims the top spot on this week’s Official Vinyl Albums Chart and Official Record Store Chart in the process.
Breakout Liverpool rapper EsDeeKid’s debut record Rebel reaches new heights, up six as it breaks the Top 20 for the first time (19).
London-formed rock outfit White Lies land a seventh Top 40 album with latest collection Night Light (29), as a deluxe reissue of Jake Bugg’s 2024 record A Modern Day Distraction sees it return to the Top 40 (37).
