Demi Lovato will never get a matching tattoo again because she no longer thinks they're a good idea.
The Cool for the Summer singer, who has an extensive collection of body art, admitted on the Las Culturistas podcast that many of her tattoos were "impulsive" decisions instead of carefully considered choices.
Demi, who uses both she/her and they/them pronouns, confessed that she has a tattoo that hasn't aged well because it makes her think of a person in an awkward, regretful way.
"It is what it is... it was still a cool story behind the tattoo that I got, but do I wish I didn't get a matching tattoo with someone? Yes!" they declared.
The Heart Attack hitmaker is no longer a fan of matching tattoos with romantic partners because she thinks they can "curse" the relationship.
"Don't do it. I think it's like cursed. I don't like matching tattoos," they shared. "I've gotten two matching tattoos and it just didn't end up well. I just feel like, rule of thumb, it's just not a good idea."
Demi, who is married to the heavily-tattooed singer Jutes, told podcast co-hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers that she wishes she had been more "selective" with the body ink when she was younger.
"I went so hard on tattoos at such a young age," she confessed. "I wish I had thought more about it rather than getting all these impulsive tattoos than I did."
The 33-year-old has slowed down with the tattoos in the past few years and hasn't gotten a new addition to their collection since May 2024. Their most recent tattoo is the phrase, "I love you more" in their mum's handwriting on their left inner forearm.
