Matty Healy has upset legions of The 1975 fans by removing one of their songs from all streaming platforms.

On Tuesday, eagle-eyed fans spotted that Human Too, the ninth track from the British band's 2022 album Being Funny In A Foreign Language, was missing from streaming services.

After they took to social media to voice their concerns, frontman Matty responded to a Reddit thread about Human Too's disappearance, and confirmed that they had retroactively removed it from the album.

He also seemed to imply that he no longer liked the song, three years after its inclusion on the record.

"Human Too was removed from the album so the album is more how I want it to be," he explained. "Previous physical release obviously remain the same (sic)."

The singer then hinted that another song may suffer a similar fate.

"I doubt the same will happen with any other records as I am pretty happy with them outside of 'What should I say' from Notes On A Conditional Form. So that may also be removed who knows," he added.

Upset fans took to the thread to criticise Matty for removing a three-year-old fan-favourite song, and begged him not to do the same with What Should I Say, which appears on their 2020 album, Notes on a Conditional Form.

Matty responded to one fan pleading for What Should I Say to remain on the record, simply replying, "Ok no worries x."

Human Too is no longer available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube or other major streaming platforms.
