MEGADETH today (October 30) unveiled the complete track listing for their highly anticipated, self-titled final studio album, scheduled for release on January 23, 2026. This momentous release, the last from the band that has sold over 50 million records and earned a GRAMMY® Award, is being released via Dave Mustaine’s Tradecraft imprint in partnership with the new BLKIIBLK label.
The tracklist confirms the inclusion of the recently released first single, ‘Tipping Point,’ a sonically explosive song that debuted with an unflinching music video directed by Leonardo Liberti.
Adding a monumental capstone to the band’s career, the album will feature a special bonus track: a reimagined version of ‘Ride The Lightning.’ This track is particularly significant as it was co-written by Mustaine with Metallica’s James Hetfield, Cliff Burton, and Lars Ulrich, and served as the title track for Metallica’s 1984 album.
Dave Mustaine stated that the decision to include the song was a way to "pay my respects to where my career first started."
The full track listing for the forthcoming final album is as follows:
Tipping Point
I Don’t Care
Hey, God?!
Let There Be Shred
Puppet Parade
Another Bad Day
Made To Kill
Obey The Call
I Am War
The Last Note
Ride The Lightning (Bonus Track)
The band’s current lineup—featuring Mustaine, Teemu Mäntysaari, James LoMenzo, and Dirk Verbeuren—is preparing for the album launch and a farewell tour, with initial dates expected to be announced later this year. Fans can pre-order the album now and register for early access to all news surrounding the monumental final release.
