Brother and sister duo The Molotovs played to a sold-out Electric Ballroom in Camden last night, delivering a blistering headline set as they target their third consecutive UK No. 1 physical single with ‘Rhythm Of Yourself’.

The band, comprised of 17-year-old Mathew Cartlidge and 19-year-old Issey Cartlidge, is poised to release the new track on 31st October via Marshall Records. The song, a thrashing blend of “early ‘80s stark Jam, Favourite Worst Nightmare era Arctic Monkeys and Sex Pistols,” was produced by Jason Perry. Its B-side, ‘Johnny Don’t Be Scared’, was notably recorded at Paul Weller’s Black Barn Studios.

The Electric Ballroom crowd—packed, pogoing, and crowd-surfing—was treated to a high-energy, hour-long show that underscored the band's formidable live reputation. The set included debut tracks ‘Urbia’ and ‘My Metallic Wife’ alongside existing fan favourites, all set to feature on their forthcoming debut album, Wasted On Youth, due out on 30th January 2026. The audience also included fellow musician James McCartney, who also has a new single out today called 'Heaven'.

Frontman Matt Cartlidge, sharp in an Adam of London suit, thanked the fans, stating that the show was an "amazing night to remember" and confirmed the band would next be joining Palaye Royale on the road.

Bassist Issey Cartlidge, wearing a custom Solene Lescouet-designed Union Jack dress, offered a message of cultural optimism from the stage: "We must reject cultural pessimism - reject division, intolerance and hate - and embrace togetherness in its wake. We think the answer to the question 'Is There Any Hope?' is definitively 'yes'."

Having played over 600 gigs since 2020 and shared stages with rock royalty including The Libertines, Sex Pistols, and Blondie, The Molotovs have swiftly built a formidable pedigree. Following the new single’s release, which is available on white vinyl, the band will embark on a UK tour supporting Palaye Royale in early November.
