Britney Spears has claimed she feels "secretly cleverly abused" by her difficult relationship with her two sons.
The Stronger singer, who shares Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, claimed earlier this week that, in the past five years, she has seen one son for just 45 minutes and had only four visits from the other.
She addressed their strained relationship again on Instagram on Thursday night as she shared a sweet video from Internet personality Austin Geter of his young daughter proudly showing off her bedroom.
In the caption, Britney wrote, "Parenting tips !!! It takes two seconds to call the one you love there's 24 hours in a day and 365 days a year you can tell your child you are proud of them and love them even if they haven't done anything !!!"
She continued, "Ps I genuinely wonder what that would feel like I'm serious !!! Would I feel more confident and not alone and prettier and not secretly cleverly abused to the (point) it would drive anyone crazy !!! I'm serious though if I had a family that respected me I genuinely think the world would be a different place 100 percent !!! God speed my beautiful babies !!! I love you more (sic)."
The 43-year-old has been in the headlines recently thanks to a war of words between herself and Kevin, who makes damning claims about her parenting in his upcoming memoir, You Thought You Knew.
Earlier this week, she issued a statement insisting that she had "had enough" of the former backup dancer's "constant gaslighting" over her relationship with their boys.
"The constant gaslighting from (my) ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting," she wrote on Instagram. "I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys. Relationships with teenage boys is complex. I have felt demoralized by this situation and have always asked and almost begged for them to be a part of my life."
Britney and Kevin were married from 2004 to 2007. His book will be released on 21 October.
