GRAMMY and BRIT Award-winning producer, songwriter, and musician Thomas Hull, widely known as Kid Harpoon, has been named the first-ever Producer In Residence at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios. The appointment is the latest move in Abbey Road’s vision to solidify its status as a central hub for musical creativity and innovation.

Kid Harpoon, hailed by Billboard as “pop’s new secret weapon,” will gain complete access to the studios as his primary UK creative home. This includes utilizing Abbey Road’s priceless collection of vintage gear, microphones, and future technology. He will also serve as a key consultant on the studios’ music tech and innovation work.

The celebrated producer, known for his chart-topping work with Harry Styles (including the GRAMMY-winning Harry’s House) and Miley Cyrus (the global hit "Flowers"), expressed his excitement about the role. “I’m beyond excited to become Producer in Residence at Abbey Road,” said Harpoon. “I’m hoping to use my experience to help guide some of the incredible up-and-coming talent we have in the UK.”

A core component of his new position is participating in Abbey Road’s free educational outreach, including the expanded Abbey Road Amplify programme.

For the first time, Amplify is heading to Manchester this November (19–21), with workshops and panels at Aviva Studios and the new adidas/Abbey Road studio in the Co-op Live arena. Kid Harpoon will be joined by artists and industry experts like Everything Everything, Fraser T Smith, and Rosie Danvers to support the next generation of creatives.

Mark Robertson, Abbey Road’s Director of Marketing & Creative, stated that Kid Harpoon’s experience and creative skills will be instrumental in "writing the next chapter in the Abbey Road story."
