Paramount+ has announced that OZZY: NO ESCAPE FROM NOW, a feature-length documentary chronicling the final six years of rock icon Ozzy Osbourne's life, will premiere on October 7. The film, produced in collaboration with the Osbourne family, offers an intimate look at the legendary singer’s private health struggles and his relentless fight to get back on stage one last time.

The documentary details the devastating late-night fall Ozzy suffered in February 2019, which led to a series of corrective surgeries and the cancellation of his farewell tour. The film features candid conversations with Ozzy, his wife Sharon, and their children Aimee, Kelly, and Jack, who speak openly about the life-changing impact of his chronic pain and Parkinson’s diagnosis on his mental and physical health. “He was in hospital for weeks... that was his biggest heart-break,” Aimee says in the film.

Despite his struggles, the documentary highlights how a collaboration with Post Malone on the song “Take What You Want” reignited Ozzy’s passion for music. Ozzy himself admits, “It got me out of the blues. It helped me. That was the best medicine I ever had.” This creative spark led to his acclaimed albums Ordinary Man and the Grammy-winning Patient Number 9, both of which are explored in the film.

OZZY: NO ESCAPE FROM NOW was never intended to be a posthumous film, but following Ozzy’s death on July 22, 2025, it now stands as a powerful testament to his courage, resilience, and talent. The documentary also features tributes from friends and collaborators, including Tony Iommi, Slash, and James Hetfield, who provide heartfelt perspectives on the man himself.
