Elvis Costello drops CD

Elvis Costello has revealed to Billboard the sensational news that his next album will be released only on vinyl and digital.

Within the vinyl package will be included a digital download code to allow purchasers to grab a copy of the record for their iPods.

The much acclaimed English musician is one of the first major label stars to drop the CD format.
