War Child UK has today announced BRIT-nominated, neo-soul pop artist, Joy Crookes as its newest Music Ambassador.
The South London artist, celebrated for her soulful sound and fearless storytelling, will use her platform to support War Child’s mission to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children affected by conflict.
Crookes has previously supported War Child through advocacy efforts and live performances such as her BRITs Week shows in 2022 and 2025, raising vital funds to help children living through war. Speaking about her new role, Crookes said;
“I'm a huge believer in the work that War Child do. It's substantial, highly impactful and constantly developing and evolving. Often the last organisation left in a conflict zone, War Child's commitment to long-term care and support of children and the local communities that will ultimately be responsible for the children is nothing short of remarkable. I'm extremely honoured to become one of War Child's Music Ambassadors and contribute to the organisation to the best of my ability.”
War Child UK’s Live Music Lead, Clare Sanders-Wright, added; "All of us at War Child are unbelievably excited to welcome Joy Crookes to the War Child family. Joy has championed our work for a while now, and we’re incredibly grateful to her and her teams for their ongoing support. Joy's artistry, advocacy and deep connection with her audience is really something to behold, and will no doubt bring vital attention to the challenges faced by children living in war zones, as we continue to drive advocacy efforts and work to ensure a brighter future for every child living through war.”
Joy Crookes will support War Child across fundraising campaigns, advocacy, and live music events throughout 2025.
