T4 viewers are in for an extra special treat this Easter Sunday when Hollyoaks Village is transformed into a purpose built music studio. Familiar locations will undergo metamorphic change to become the Main Stage (The Dog in the Pond), The Acoustic Stage (The SU Bar) and the Unsigned Stage (The Loft).

Viewers will also see Hollyoaks favourite James Sutton, under the expert tuition of Utah Saints, learn to DJ in just two hours, before making his debut in top Liverpool night spot Baby Cream.

The show will be a non-stop music fest hosted by T4’s Rick Edwards and showcasing four of the UK’s finest live bands: The Courteeners, Foals, Guillemots and unsigned heroes Rochelle. Hollyoaks residents, The McQueens, are also in for a surprise when top pop act One Night Stand drop by for a cuppa.

Backstage Hollyoaks stars will grill the bands as they finish their performances, giving viewers a real behind the scenes feel as well as lots of laughs!

Lee Hardman, Head of Conker Media, is confident that viewers will be pleased with the show, ‘The Hollyoaks Music Show is a natural extension of the Hollyoaks digital project - which currently works across online, broadband Internet and mobile. The Hollyoaks Music Show brings television to that model, making the Hollyoaks digital project a truly cross-platform proposition”

Neil McCallum, Head of Channel 4 Music added, ‘The Hollyoaks omnibus is an institution for T4 viewers and by allowing some of the UK's hottest music acts onto the shows set and access to its stars, we would expect the Hollyoaks music show to be an un-missable TV treat.'
