Just ahead of the release of his new album, Play, Ed Sheeran has announced a series of European arena shows for December 2025. The limited run of dates will bring the stadium-selling artist to more intimate venues across Paris, Munich, Coventry, Manchester, and Dublin. This tour will be a rare chance for fans to see Sheeran in a smaller setting before his all-new Loop stadium tour kicks off in Australia in January 2026.
Sheeran's new album, Play, set for release on September 12, marks a bold new phase for the artist. Moving on from his successful Mathematics series, he has explored new musical territory through collaborations with a diverse range of global producers and musicians. The album is inspired in part by his deep dive into Indian and Persian musical cultures, noting their surprising connections to the Irish folk music of his youth. This "borderless musical language" gives the new record a fresh, distinctive sound.
Despite this new direction, Sheeran also reminds listeners why he is one of the world's most beloved singer-songwriters, delivering heartfelt balladry that is both familiar and new. The result is a vibrant, pop-driven collection that promises to be one of the year's defining albums.
Tickets for the December shows will be available through an artist pre-sale starting at 10 am BST on Tuesday, September 9. General on-sale will begin at 10 am BST on Thursday, September 11. Fans in the UK can pre-order the album through Amazon to access the pre-sale, while those in other cities can sign up on Sheeran’s official website.
