Multi-BRIT and Mercury Prize nominee Cat Burns is set to release her new body of work, How to be Human, on Friday, October 31. The forthcoming project follows her critically acclaimed debut album, early twenties, and is described as her most personal and introspective work to date.

Spanning 16 tracks, including recent singles "All This Love" and "GIRLS!," the record channels her inner thoughts on vulnerability, growth, and love. Entirely written by Burns, each song blends personal reflections with voice notes to create an intimate and authentic listening experience. Demonstrating her full artistic vision, Burns also directed the album's visual concept, which was brought to life by photographer Sebastian Xavier.

Speaking on the album's creation, Burns explained, "I experienced the death of a loved one and my first relationship heartbreak at the same time and genuinely had no idea how I would get through the situation." She hopes the album will serve as a "comfort album" for listeners going through similar struggles, showing them how to "pick yourself back up."

To support the release, Burns will embark on a seven-date UK headline tour this November. The tour will feature songs from her new project along with fan favorites. The album and tour announcement comes just before her upcoming performance at this weekend's All Points East festival, where she will join an all-female lineup that includes Raye, JADE, and Tyla.
