The Beatles' landmark Anthology project is set for a massive global revival this autumn. The comprehensive release will include a restored documentary series, a newly expanded music collection, and a 25th-anniversary edition of the book.
First released three decades ago, the Anthology reinvented the music documentary by letting John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr tell their own story. Now, the original eight-part series has been restored and remastered. It will stream exclusively on Disney+ beginning November 26, and will feature a brand-new ninth episode with previously unseen footage of the band members reflecting on their shared history.
The musical side of the project is also getting a major update. A newly expanded four-volume music collection will be released on November 21. Curated by Giles Martin, it includes three double albums of rare material, plus a new Anthology 4 featuring 13 previously unreleased demos and session recordings. The collection will also feature new mixes of classic tracks like "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love," created from original demos. The beautifully restored video for "Free As A Bird" is available to watch now.
Rounding out the release is the 25th-anniversary edition of The Beatles Anthology book, out October 14. The 368-page book features the band members' candid recollections of their journey, accompanied by over 1,300 photos and documents from their archives.
This ultimate Anthology collection offers a deep dive into the band's history, confirming its enduring legacy for both longtime fans and new generations.
