Oasis see off competition from the likes of mgk and The Royston Club to reclaim this week’s Official Number 1 album.

Ahead of their Dublin Croke Park shows this weekend, Time Flies… 1994-2009 returns to the top spot for a second non-consecutive week this year, and third overall. Their catalogue holds strong inside this week’s Top 10, with (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? at Number 3 and Definitely Maybe at 7.

This week’s highest new entry comes courtesy of mgk, formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly. lost americana, the seventh studio set from the Texan multi-hyphenate, comes in at Number 2. It’s mgk’s third Top 10 LP to date, matching the peak of 2022’s mainstream sellout.

Congratulations to Wrexham exports The Royston Club, who celebrate a personal best with Songs For The Spine, new in at Number 4. The band – Tom Faithfull, Ben Matthias, Dave Tute and Sam Jones – previously achieved a Number 16 peak with 2023 debut Shaking Hips and Crashing Cars.

The Royston Club also reap the rewards of an extensive instore tour this week, Songs For The Spine is this week’s best-seller in UK independent record shops, topping the Official Record Store Chart and Official Vinyl Albums Chart.

The Last Wun earns Gunna a fifth Top 10 album (9), joining 2020’s WUNNA (5), 2022 release DS4EVER (4), 2023’s a Gift & a Curse (9) and 2024 record One of Wun (4) in his tally. Georgia-born Sergio Giavanni Kitchens has also enjoyed UK chart success with 2018 collaborative Lil Baby project Drip Harder (12) and 2019’s Drip or Drown 2 (24).

Craig David’s ninth LP Commitment secures him a seventh UK Top 10 some 25 years after his Albums Chart debut, a new entry at Number 10.

It’s a second Top 20 album this year for Floridian singer-songwriter Ethel Cain, as second full-length work Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You lands at Number 12. Back in April, Cain’s 2022 debut Preacher’s Daughter climbed to its current Number 10 peak.

Pennsylvania rockers Halestorm notch a fourth Top 40 album with seventh studio set Everest (16), as do Japanese metal outfit BABYMETAL with METAL FORTH (17).

And finally, in the week she broke the internet with the announcement of brand-new album The Life of a Showgirl, Taylor Swift’s former chart-topper The Tortured Poets Department returns to the Top 40, up 12 (37).
