Global pop superstar Nelly Furtado has been announced as the final headliner for Manchester Pride 2025, completing a stellar lineup for the festival's four-day celebration. The "Maneater" and "Say It Right" singer will co-headline Sunday’s Mardi Gras alongside Olly Alexander, promising an unforgettable night of music and queer joy.
Taking place from Friday, August 22nd to Monday, August 25th, Manchester Pride has now revealed its full schedule of artists and events. Furtado’s addition brings her powerhouse vocals and infectious energy to the stage, which is set to be a major highlight of the weekend.
In addition to Furtado, the festival is welcoming two more notable artists. Manchester's very own DJ Paulette will join the Sunday Mardi Gras lineup, bringing her legendary house music expertise to the dance floor. On Friday, the Gay Village Party will see a performance from the dynamic South African artist Moonchild Sanelly, known for her "future ghetto punk" style and bold stage presence.
Mark Fletcher, CEO of Manchester Pride, commented on the new additions: “Welcoming an icon like Nelly Furtado alongside DJ Paulette and Moonchild Sanelly further showcases the diversity of musical tastes that we’re catering for. They’re each sure to create some unforgettable moments.”
Fletcher also emphasized the importance of community support for the event's future. “Pride can only thrive if our community shows up: by attending events, joining the Parade, and buying supporter bands,” he said. “This is the moment to stand up, come together, party as a protest and ensure Pride continues to shine long into the future.”
Tickets for both the Mardi Gras and Gay Village Party are on sale now, with more details and a full lineup available on the Manchester Pride website.
