London's All Points East festival is set to host a special free community event this Sunday, August 17, headlined by legendary DJ Pete Tong. In collaboration with Tower Hamlets Council, the day-long event offers free entry and a diverse lineup of music, entertainment, and activities for the entire community.
Pete Tong, a leading tastemaker in electronic music for over two decades and the voice of BBC Radio 1's dance programming, will headline the East Stage with a DJ set celebrating modern and classic anthems. "Really looking forward to bringing some Ibiza vibes to All Points East this Sunday," Tong said. "It's a great chance to play these tracks in the heart of London."
Joining Tong on the bill is DJ Yoda with his acclaimed audio-visual show, "50 years of Hip Hop." The performance is an updated and expanded journey through the genre's rich history, combining classic beats with cutting-edge visuals. The lineup also features jaw-dropping B-Boy action from the infamous The Cuban Brothers, a DJ set from London's Kengo, and the dynamic Japanese Taiko rhythms of The Tamashii Drummers.
Beyond the music, the free event in Victoria Park offers a wide range of activities. Attendees can enjoy live theatre shows from Half Moon Presents, participate in free fitness sessions from Be Well, and watch non-contact boxing activities for kids from the Limehouse Boxing Academy. The Rich Mix arts centre will be showcasing local talent and hosting a kids' disco, while the Sunny Jar Eco Hub will lead workshops on upcycling and eco-friendly jewelry making.
The community day is a special addition to the All Points East festival, which this year also features headliners such as Cleo Sol, Chase and Status, RAYE, and The Maccabees.
