Ed Sheeran is poised to make a major impact on the UK singles chart with his latest release, "A Little More." The single, taken from his highly anticipated eighth studio album, Play, is currently on track to be this week's highest new entry, sitting comfortably at Number 8.

The song is one of four singles released from the album so far, joining "Azizam," "Old Phone," and "Sapphire." Play is scheduled to drop on September 12 and marks a new era for the artist, moving away from his "Mathematics" series of albums. Sheeran has described the album as "playful, explorative, and celebratory," born from a desire to create "joy and technicolour" after a difficult period in his life.

In the midst of this new music, the rest of the singles chart is also seeing some intense competition. Former chart-toppers HUNTR/X are challenging Chappell Roan for the top spot with their track "Golden," while Disco Lines & Tinashe and Justin Bieber are making their own moves higher up the chart.
