Last night Oasis made their phenomenal return to Edinburgh with the first of three Murrayfield Stadium shows. Playing to a sold out 68,000 capacity crowd, the rapturously received show marked the band’s first performance in Edinburgh since 2009. They will play to more than 204,000 people at Murrayfield Stadium over the course of three shows as part of their Oasis Live ‘25 tour.
Clutching hands and with their arms in the air, the Gallagher brothers entered at 8:15pm to an incredible reception from fans.
Introducing first song ‘Hello’, Liam said “Oasis vibes in the area. Edinburgh vibes in the area.”
Before launching into ‘Acquiesce’, Liam said “We’ve fucking missed you.”
Introducing ‘Fade Away’ Liam said “Do we have any people that have never seen us before? Shit loads. How does this feel? This one’s for you.”
Ahead of ‘Live Forever’, Liam said “I want to dedicate this next song to all the people who couldn’t make it to see us get back together.”
Before culminating the set with ‘Champagne Supernova’ Liam said “Nice one for making this happen. It must be hard work following a band like us over the years, we don't know how to behave ourselves and shit. Nice one for sticking with us.”
Beyond the Live ‘25 tour, Oasis fever continues to grip the nation as the band dominates the airwaves, streaming platforms and the UK Official Charts with three albums in the Top 10.
