Luke Bryan has spoken out after being hit in the face with an object during a recent performance.
During his concert in North Dakota on Saturday, which was part of his Country Song Came On Tour, the music star was hit in the face by a ball thrown from the crowd.
The incident occurred during an encore performance of his 2011 song Country Girl (Shake It For Me).
In a new interview with Taste of Country Nights, Luke explained that performers on stage often have things thrown at them.
"It's the last song of the night. It was a big ole fun party, and I think one person just took it too far," the country singer said. "We see it. Every other entertainer out there is getting stuff - you get stuff thrown at ya."
However, Luke noted that if he had seen who threw the ball, he would have confronted them.
"You hope that you can see who did it," he said. "I mean, if I saw him throw it, I could have gone right to him."
The 49-year-old added, "I probably would have jumped right off in there."
Luke then went on to admit that this would have been the wrong choice, as there were children in the crowd.
"If I jump off in there ... there were a lot of little kids down there," he told the outlet. "At that point, if I'd even stopped it and pointed somebody out, it kills the vibe of the show."
The singer kicked off his current tour, which includes stops in over 30 cities, on 29 May in Bethel, New York.
