Jessica Simpson kept her cool after she suffered a wardrobe malfunction on live TV on Wednesday.
The 45-year-old singer performed a medley of her biggest hits, along with her new single Fade, during her appearance on the Today show. While Jessica was singing, her corset top slipped down and exposed her pink bra, but the star soon realised and calmly readjusted her outfit.
"Of course I had a malfunction here and everywhere, but it's OK," Jessica laughed to the show's hosts after the performance. "I think my boobs stayed in, so it's OK."
Jessica has been busy in recent months after returning to the music scene following a 15-year hiatus.
In March, Jessica released her comeback record Nashville Canyon: Pt. 1, and the second part is scheduled to be released in September.
Many of the tracks on the EP seemingly refer to Jessica's failed marriage to Eric Johnson, with the pair confirming in January they had split after 10 years of marriage.
The star has openly discussed how it feels to be releasing so many emotions through her music.
"Today it was like, 'Okay, get out of your head. Get out of your head. Who cares if your shoe falls off? Who cares if you forget a lyric?'" Jessica explained during her Today appearance. "Honestly, it's just about being able to be up there and be vulnerable and that feels really beautiful."
Fade was released this week and the lyrics appear to address the breakdown of her marriage, as Jessica sings about heartbreak and empty promises.
One line reads, "You can just wait on me / I won't be around / Watching you fade on me / Your words mean nothing now."
As she marked the release of the track, Jessica revealed the song writing process had come from a "heavy, emotional moment".
