The recording captures a pivotal moment from the band's triumphant return to Manchester on July 11th, the first of five monumental nights at Heaton Park. In front of a combined audience of 340,000 ecstatic fans, 'Cigarettes & Alcohol' was the sixth song performed, immortalising the electrifying atmosphere as Oasis reconnected with their roots. Fans traveled from across the globe, including Japan, Costa Rica, North America, and Australia, to witness these history-making performances.
The release of 'Cigarettes & Alcohol (Live from Manchester, 11 July ‘25)' precedes Oasis's first Wembley Stadium gig this Friday, July 25th. The 'Oasis Live ‘25' tour, following rapturously received shows in Cardiff and Manchester, has already been hailed by The Sunday Times as the "biggest rock comeback in history."
Beyond the current tour, "Oasis fever" continues to dominate the UK music landscape. Their singles compilation, 'Time Flies… 1994-2009', recently reclaimed the Number 1 spot on the UK Official Charts, while seminal studio albums '(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?' and 'Definitely Maybe' remain in the Top 5 Album Chart.
This new live offering follows the earlier release of 'Slide Away (Live from Cardiff, 4 July ‘25)'. Looking ahead, fans can anticipate the ' (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?' Deluxe 30th Anniversary Edition, due out on October 3rd, and the 'Complete Studio Album Collection' box set, slated for release on August 22nd. Both are available for pre-order now.
