Following Oasis's triumphant return with five electrifying homecoming shows at Heaton Park, the band's promoters, SJM Concerts, have issued a heartfelt thank you to Manchester City Council for their invaluable support. The series of concerts, which captivated hundreds of thousands of fans, cemented Oasis's status as a cultural phenomenon and etched a new chapter into Manchester's rich music history.

Rob Ballantine, Director of SJM Concerts, expressed immense satisfaction: "We were blown away by the incredible support, atmosphere and success of all five homecoming shows by Oasis. They proved they are the most culturally important band in the UK and those concerts will live in the memories of hundreds of thousands of music fans for years to come." He highlighted the crucial role of Manchester City Council in the events' success, particularly their promotion of "Manchester Live 25" across the city, which helped to amplify the excitement.

The safety and comfort of the nearly 350,000 attendees were paramount, and Ballantine praised the seamless collaboration between the council, emergency services, and Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM). Beyond the ticketed arena, thousands of fans gathered on what has affectionately been dubbed "Gallagher Hill" to soak in the atmosphere. SJM Concerts, with the full backing of Oasis, worked closely with the Safety Advisory Group, chaired by the council, to ensure the safety of this enthusiastic crowd. Liam Gallagher even gave a special "shout out" to "Gallagher Hill" during the final weekend's concerts, with live footage of the crowd being broadcast onto the main stage screens. Commemorative t-shirts featuring "Gallagher Hill" within the Oasis logo were also distributed to fans gathered there.

"SJM Concerts and Oasis want to thank the council, the emergency services and all members of the Safety Advisory Team on a first-class delivery of the biggest and most significant music events the City has hosted for many years," Ballantine concluded. "We would also like to acknowledge the incredible atmosphere generated by the fans who seem to have unanimously decided the gigs were the best nights of their lives! It was a privilege to be involved in the huge team of people making these concerts the success they were."
