The highly anticipated return of Oasis has sent shockwaves through the UK music scene, with the Britpop giants dominating the Official Charts following the launch of their "Oasis Live 25" reunion tour. Their comeback ignited last Friday night in Cardiff, and the momentum has propelled the band to an extraordinary chart takeover.

Their singles compilation, Time Flies… 1994-2009, has remarkably returned to Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart, marking its first time at the summit since its initial release in June 2010—a fifteen-year gap. This achievement underscores the enduring appeal of the Manchester band.

Furthermore, Oasis has secured an impressive three albums within the Official Albums Chart Top 5. Their iconic 1995 release, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, has climbed 12 places to Number 2, while their seminal 1994 debut, Definitely Maybe, has vaulted 22 spots to Number 4.

The band's chart dominance extends to the Official Singles Chart, where three Oasis tracks have entered the Top 20. "Acquiesce," a fan favourite and original B-side to their 1995 Number 1 single "Some Might Say," has reached a new peak at Number 17. Returning to the Top 20 are the 1996 chart-topper "Don’t Look Back in Anger" at Number 18 and the 1994 Top 10 hit "Live Forever" at Number 19.

As Oasis begins a series of five massive hometown shows at Manchester’s Heaton Park tonight, anticipation is high for how this run of performances might further solidify their grip on the Official Albums Chart in the coming week.
