Global British artist YUNGBLUD is set to offer fans an unprecedented look into his world with the new documentary film, "YUNGBLUD. ARE YOU READY, BOY?" The highly anticipated film will receive a worldwide theatrical release, with exclusive screenings scheduled for August 20th and 24th, courtesy of Trafalgar Releasing. Tickets for this must-see event go on sale July 17th at Yungblud.film.
Directed by the acclaimed, multi-award-winning filmmaker Paul Dugdale (known for his work with Adele, Elton John, and The Prodigy), the feature-length documentary was shot at the legendary Hansa Studios Building in Berlin. This iconic location, the birthplace of masterpieces like David Bowie's Heroes, provides a fitting backdrop for a film exploring a pivotal moment in YUNGBLUD's career.
Presented in both black-and-white and stunning 16mm color sequences, "YUNGBLUD. ARE YOU READY, BOY?" is described as a personal journey of change, confidence, and rock-and-roll chaos. It offers a revealing and uncompromising look at a generational artist finding his voice, as YUNGBLUD (Dom) and his band relocate to the historic Berlin studio to record live performances from his brand-new album, Idols. Released in June 2025, Idols became YUNGBLUD’s third consecutive UK No. 1 album, marking his most personal record to date.
With cameras rolling throughout the entire process and no live audience, the film promises an unfiltered, behind-the-scenes view of the creative process and the raw performances. "I wanted to make a film that truly documents where we are right now, at this moment, around the release of my most ambitious album to date," YUNGBLUD stated. "You can feel the history in Hansa; it’s in the silence between takes, the ceiling looming over you."
Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing, expressed excitement about bringing this "visionary film" to cinemas globally, allowing audiences to experience YUNGBLUD's life and music on the big screen. The documentary will screen in 30 countries worldwide, including across 150 UK cinemas.
