Kesha has recalled how she kept performing after tearing her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during a show seven years ago.

Amid a gig staged in Dubai in February 2018, the Tik Tok hitmaker suffered a fall and hurt her knee.

Later, Kesha was forced to reschedule a number of Rainbow Tour dates so she could recover from surgery to repair the torn ligament.

"I remember I tore my ACL on stage," she said during an appearance on the Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky podcast on Tuesday. "That was brutal, and in like song three or something. I was playing a festival in Dubai, and I tore my ACL, and I f**king got up and I played guitar and I sang and I finished the f**king show. Yes, because I am bad b**ch."

Kesha went on to describe how she felt proud of herself for continuing with the gig despite the painful injury.

And even when some journalists reported that the Your Love Is My Drug singer was drunk during the show, she shut down the claims during her conversation with Monica.

"Literally, abso-f**king-lutely never have one drink before a show ever. Well, I did one time, the first time I played Lollapalooza in 2009. And after that, never. I literally did that one time, and I was like, 'O.K., I'm never doing that again. I'm never drinking before a show,'" the 38-year-old shared, adding that the negative reports "hurt my feelings".

Kesha is currently promoting her sixth studio album, Period.
