Oasis could be set to reign over this week’s Official Albums Chart after launching their reunion tour in Cardiff on Friday night.
The band’s singles compilation Time Flies… 1994-2009 is currently on course to return to Number 1 for the first time since its week of release in 2010.
Meanwhile, their classic second album, 1995’s (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? is tracking to jump 11 places to Number 3, while their iconic 1993 debut Definitely Maybe is tracking to vault 22 places to Number 4.
Standing in the way of an all-Oasis Top 3 however is Sabrina Carpenter, whose enduringly popular Short n’ Sweet album is less than 1,000 units behind clinching Number 1 herself and on course for Number 2 at the midweek stage, following her shows in London’s Hyde Park over the weekend.
The best-selling album of the week so far comes courtesy of Hard-Fi who are poised to return to the Top 5 with the deluxe 20th anniversary reissue of their chart-topping 2005 debut album, Stars of CCTV (5).
Kae Tempest is hoping for a career-best with their fifth studio album Self Titled (7). They previously charted at Number 8 with 2022 set The Line Is a Curve.
Former Propaganda singer Claudia Brücken could net a first-ever UK Top 10 album with her latest solo set Night Mirror (10), while Kesha is primed to return to the Top 20 with her sixth studio album, . (Period) (11). It could become Kesha’s highest-charting album since 2017’s Rainbow peaked at Number 4.
Everything Everything’s third studio album, Get to Heaven, is set to return to the Top 30 thanks to a newly released 10th anniversary edition (22). And Midlands punk duo Big Special could net a first Top 40 album with their surprise second album National Average (38).
