Kesha and Aubrey O'Day have voiced support for Cassie after her ex-boyfriend Sean 'Diddy' Combs was found not guilty of sex trafficking her.
A New York jury found the 55-year-old not guilty of racketeering conspiracy and two charges of sex trafficking, one of which related to Cassie's allegations. However, they found him guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, relating to claims by Cassie and another ex-girlfriend.
After the verdict was announced, Kesha took to X to publicly support Cassie for coming forward with her claims about the rapper.
"Cassie, I believe you," she wrote. "I love you. Your strength is a beacon for every survivor."
Since the sexual abuse claims against Combs were first made public in late 2023, Kesha has changed the opening lyrics of her 2010 song Tik Tok from "feeling like P. Diddy" to "f**k P. Diddy".
Meanwhile, O'Day, who was recruited for the girl group Danity Kane on Combs' 2005 TV show Making the Band, told her Instagram followers she found the verdict "heartbreaking".
The singer, who has been outspoken about the music mogul over the years, continued, "My heart is with Cassie. A woman who could've had a life and career free of fear and control. A woman who told her truth in a courtroom, only to have the world dissect her credibility instead of her courage."
Cassie, real name Casandra Ventura, served as a key witness during the trial and testified for four days while heavily pregnant.
While she has yet to comment on the verdict personally, her lawyer Douglas H. Wigdor issued a statement crediting her with starting the criminal process against Combs by filing a lawsuit in late 2023, and for paving the way for his conviction on the prostitution charges.
The Last Night rapper has been denied bail while he awaits sentencing, which is expected to take place on 3 October.
