Taylor Swift surprises crowd with acoustic performance at sports summit after-party
Taylor Swift shocked the crowd at a sports summit after-party on Monday by delivering a surprise acoustic performance of her smash hit Shake It Off.
The pop superstar supported her American football player boyfriend, Travis Kelce, at the start of his annual Tight End University training summit, which he co-founded with fellow players in 2021.
According to viral fan footage on social media, Taylor helped kick off the three-day event in style by performing her 2014 smash hit at the summit's opening night afterparty at Nashville's Brooklyn Bowl.
The crowd went wild for her brief impromptu performance as it hadn't been officially announced.
Wearing a short black dress and heels, the 35-year-old played acoustic guitar and belted out the pop single as Travis watched on from backstage.
The musical appearance marked one of Taylor's first public performances since she wrapped her mammoth The Eras Tour in December.
According to DJ Mike Fresh, who was in charge of the night's music, the Bad Blood singer partied to his set later in the evening.
"There are Monday fun days, and then there are Monday fun days when Taylor Swift is in the building partying to your set," he wrote on Instagram.
Taylor and Travis hit headlines earlier in the evening as they walked their first red carpet together, even though it was more low-key and casual than a typical celebrity red-carpet debut.
They walked into the venue hand-in-hand and smiled for the cameras, with Taylor wearing a green-and-white checkered top and skirt.
The couple began dating around July or August 2023, and the star made her debut appearance at one of his games in September that year.
